History libraries and research open day

Register for the free open day on Friday 27th November to learn more about history collections and resources for your research. The event will feature a history fair, research panels and one on one clinics. As well as covering a wide range of historical subjects, a special feature this year will also highlight North American collections.

The Outbreak of the First World War: Why the debate goes on

Professor Margaret MacMillan (University of Oxford) will be the guest lecturer at the IHR's Creighton Lecture 2015, which will take place on Monday 30 November.

The lecture begins at 6pm followed by a reception. This lecture is free and open to all but registration is required.

Today at the Institute

The Library will close at 1.00pm on 25 November to accommodate the University of London’s Foundation Day.

Evening seminars will still take place, but have been re-located. Please check individual seminar pages for details.
