The IHR is happy to present its first Day School in London History, with a rich programme of talks by experts and a keynote lecture given by Dr Duncan Hay (Survey of London). Learn about cutting-edge research in the history of the capital, its river and its streets and build your own skills as a local historian.

IHR seeks new Director

The IHR is searching for a new Director to lead one of the UK’s foremost institutions within the discipline of history.

The successful candidate will be a scholar of international standing, with proven managerial ability and a talent for leadership, engagement and academic innovation.

She/he will also lead the IHR as it approaches its centenary year (2021).
