2018 Hobsbawm Lecture: Luther, Death and Anti-Popery

In this illustrated lecture, Professor Lyndal Roper asks what images can tell us about Lutheran visual culture? How can historians contribute to the study of visual culture more broadly? 

Lyndal Roper is a Fellow and Regius Professor of History at Oriel College, Oxford, and author of the award-winning Martin Luther: Renegade and Prophet.
