Professor Tim Snyder will be speaking at the 2014 Holocaust memorial lecture, organised by the Pears Institute (Birkbeck) in partnership with the IHR. This is a free event and is open to all.

Please join us for this Film Evening featuring the colourful life of the Duchess of Devonshire and her portrayal in the 2008 film, The Duchess. There will be a wine and canapé reception and the film will be introduced by Professor Penelope Corfield (Royal Holloway, University of London).
The London Arts and Humanities Partnership
LAHP is pleased to invite applications from outstanding candidates for AHRC/LAHP Doctoral Training Awards for 2014-15 entry. Up to 80 studentships are available for postgraduate research students who wish to aim for a doctorate in arts and humanities subjects at King's College London, the School of Advanced Study (University of London) or University College London, from the London Arts & Humanities Partnership (AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership).
The deadline for LAHP applications is 31st January 2014.
History Libraries & Research Open Day
On 18 March 2014 the Senate House and IHR libraries will be running a joint one-day programme ideal for postgraduate students and early career researchers, which will provide an opportunity to meet and learn about libraries and archives.
