As a valued member of the history scholarly community, we would like to ask for your feedback on the IHR’s journal Historical Research. Our findings will help us develop and improve the journal for readers and authors. All information provided will remain anonymous and will only be used to help improve the journal.

Out of Place: Vagrancy and Settlement conference, 6-7 December 2017

Booking is now open for a two-day conference at the IHR which will explore the shifting experiences, representations and status of vagrancy in relation to the history of British settlement.

Plenary speakers include Professor Patricia Fumerton (University of California, Santa Barbara), Professor Nicholas Crowson (University of Birmingham) and Professor Tim Hitchcock (University of Sussex).

IHR Digital seeks Academic and Digital Engagement Officer

This is a newly created position that will be responsible for undertaking academic-related engagement, marketing, and communications roles for the IHR.

You will act as the web editor for the IHR website as well as manage and develop the Institute’s blogs and social media profiles.

In addition you will play a key role in the development of the Institute’s public engagement strategy and lead on the promotion of major IHR research projects and publications, including British History Online and the online Bibliography of British and Irish History.
