The 78th Anglo-American Conference of Historians will take place on 2 and 3 July 2009. It is the longest running English speaking conference in the world and shares the same birthday as the IHR.
In 2009 we would like to get postgraduates involved in its management. In exchange you will gain free entry into conference sessions and the chance to meet the historians and authors involved. This is also an excellent opportunity to gain a range of experience to add to your CV.
Tasks will include:
- Distribution of publicity material
- Registering delegates
- Welcoming speakers and escorting them to their lecture room
- Marshalling delegates and providing sessional information
- Assisting publishers in the exhibition space
