Graduate Library Trainee
Ceri Thompson is the Library Graduate Trainee at the Institute of Historical Research. She graduated with a First-Class degree in History from The Open University in 2015.
Prior to her work in the IHR library, Ceri volunteered for her local library and worked as a Room Steward at Bodelwyddan Castle. She then spent a year living with books in Hawarden, Flintshire as a residential library intern at Gladstone’s Library.
Ceri is interested in colonial history and modern European history, primarily their social and cultural aspects. She also has an interest in both gender history as well as the history of persecution in society. She has a growing fascination with the history of libraries and the history of the book.
She hopes to continue her studies and go on to do a MA in Library and Information Science.
