Fellowships

Since its establishment in 1921 the IHR has hosted several different types of fellowship. Nowadays, there are two main categories: senior fellows (encompassing honorary fellows; senior research fellows; associate fellows; and visiting fellows) and junior research fellows. All fellows are entitled to have access to the IHR’s library, facilities and resources, and in turn are expected to contribute to the activities of the IHR.

The competition for junior research fellowships is run annually and criteria, eligibility and application procedures are described elsewhere on our website.
