This important new guide is an introduction to the records of British government departments responsible for the administration of colonial affairs, and now held in The National Archives of the United Kingdom. It covers the period from about 1801 to 1966.

The Fasti Ecclesiae Anglicanae series has become a standard authority for identifying the higher clergy of the Church of England from the earliest times to the middle of the 19th century. First published in 1716, the list was revised in 1854 and this completely new edition, in three series, has been in progress at the IHR since the 1960s. This second edition of the 1300–1541 Hereford volume updates Joyce Horn’s 1962 volume, tracing the chronology and careers of the bishops, archdeacons, dignitaries and prebendaries of Hereford.
