Dr Águeda García Garrido

She is a Senior Lecturer in Spanish Studies at the University of Caen (Normandy). She awarded a PhD at 2009 (Lent Preaching in Seville, 1586-1700) from the University of Paris-Sorbonne, after a M.A. in History from the University of Huelva (Spain).

Her research focuses on the relationship between municipal elites and religious congregations, as well as the concept of social mobility through the preaching career in early modern Spain.
