Emily Graham is Assistant Professor in History at Oklahoma State University, USA (2013-present). Her PhD in History from the University of St Andrews (2009) examined the patronage of the Spiritual Franciscans in central Italy and at the papal court. Her current research project examines the patronage networks of the Spiritual Franciscans throughout the Western Mediterranean. She has published in the Journal of Medieval History (vol 39), and a forthcoming essay will appear in The Friars and their Influence in Medieval Spain, ed. Damian Smith. Her scholarly interests include saints' cults and canonization, female mystics, heretics and reform movements, and the papal court of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
