Revd Robert A.H. Evans

I read history at Peterhouse Cambridge (BA, 2011, MPhil, 2012). I began my PhD under Professor Rosamond McKitterick and funded through the AHRC-Gledhill studentship at Sidney Sussex college in 2014. I look at the relationship between theology and history writing in the early middle ages, especially the Carolingian Empire.

I began ordination training at Ridley Hall, Cambridge in 2012 and was ordained in the diocese of Ely in 2015, to a part-time post at Christ Church, Cambridge. As a result, I remain interested in the history of the Church of England and in Reformed theology.
