Dr Serenhedd James

Serenhedd James is a member of the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford, and an Honorary Research Fellow of St Stephen's House, where he teaches Ecclesiastical History. He is Director of the Cowley Project, an international research programme into the history and influence of the Society of St John the Evangelist, the first religious order for men to be founded in the Church of England. An active member of the Catholic Record Society and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, his book George Errington and Roman Catholic Identity in Nineteenth-Century England was published by Oxford University Press in 2016.
