Dr Susan Royal

Susan Royal is Lecturer in Early Modern British History at the University of York. Her PhD explored the memory of the late medieval dissenters called Lollards in the works of English evangelicals and Protestants from 1500-1700, especially in John Foxe’s Acts and Monuments. She has published two essays in Studies in Church History (49 and 50) and is editing (with James Kelly), Early Modern English Catholicism: Identity, Memory, and Counter-Reformation (2015).
