EHS Summer Conference 2012: The Church and the Household

18-21 July
Bangor University

The Summer Conference on the theme of Religion and the Household will be held at Bangor University, under the presidency of Professor Alexandra Walsham. A description of the theme with a list of the main speakers, together with a call for communications, is available here. We regret, however, that the deadline for submitting proposals for communications has now passed. For the latest edition of the programme, click here.

The booking form for the conference is available on the website by clicking here; it was also sent out with the Spring Newsletter.

EHS Conference Bursaries

The Society offers a number of conference bursaries to postgraduate members who have had communications accepted by the Editors and incoming President for presentation at the Summer Conference. Applications should be made on the form which can be downloaded here. A single bursary for the Summer Conference may be funded by the Anglo-Catholic History Society for a communication on a topic in keeping with that Society’s interests. The application process is the same as for the EHS bursaries.

Michael Kennedy Prize

The Society awards an annual prize of £150 for the best postgraduate communication given at the Summer Conference. This is chosen after the conference by the President and the Editors of Studies in Church History.
