Norwich Historic Churches Trust conference

25 October 2014

The Norwich Historic Churches Trust, together with the Friends of NHCT, will be holding their first annual conference on 25 October 2014. Norwich has the highest number of surviving mediæval churches north of the Alps: there are thirty-one, of which eighteen are now redundant and in the care of NHCT.
We are looking for contributions from those with an interest in the mediæval churches of Norwich. This may include architecture, archæology, history, liturgy, art history, sociology, post-redundancy use, as well as other topics, and may be from any historical period. Contributions on a wider canvas, but with a Norwich bias, will also be considered.
Proposals for 30-minute papers in English (maximum 300 words), with a short biography, are invited, and should be sent by 31 January 2014 to the conference organiser, Dr Nicholas Groves who will also be pleased to answer enquiries about possible topics.
The Trust’s website is to be found at , where full details of the conference will be found in due course.
