30th Irish Conference of Medievalists

The ICM invites proposals for papers on any aspect of medieval studies, including but not limited to: history, archaeology, literature, linguistics, art history, theology, philosophy.

Papers should last 20 minutes (+ 10 minutes for discussion). We also encourage proposals for themed sessions comprising 3 speakers (please provide a proposal for each paper, and you are welcome to nominate your own session chair). Proposals should contain the following information: name; institutional affiliation (if any); email address; abstract (max. 250 words)

Newman University, Birmingham: Call for Applications for Home/EU PhD Studentships

Newman University is delighted to invite applications for its latest Doctoral Studentship competition. As part of the University's continued commitment to support the most promising researchers to undertake in-depth scholarship, applications are invited for a number of fully-funded PhD Studentships for three years (full-time) for UK or EU students.

The Studentship includes a subsistence grant in line with the recommendations of the UK research councils (currently £14,057 p.a.) with all fees paid.

Bursary winners for York Conference announced

We would like to congratulate this year's recipients of EHS Conference Bursaries. These are designed to allow postgraduates to attend the summer conference and cover the costs of food and accommodation. This year nine awards have been made:
