Postdoc openings: AHRC-funded project on 'Remembering the Reformation'

Professors Alexandra Walsham (Cambridge) and Brian Cummings (York) have been awarded a large AHRC collaborative grant for a project on 'Remembering the Reformation', which will begin on 1 January 2016 and run for three years. 

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. One of the successful candidates will be based in York; the other in central Cambridge. Each will be responsible for one sub-project on the memory of the English Reformation (either 'Lives and Afterlives' or 'Events and Temporalities') which he or she will be able to develop in accordance with his or her own expertise and interests. The post-doc will work closely with the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in editing one of two volumes of essays and will assist with the organization and promotion of educational, outreach and impact activities associated with the project including workshops, a conference, a postgraduate symposium, public lectures and a digital exhibition.

Candidates should hold, or be about to obtain a PhD in a related discipline and will have specialist knowledge and experience of working with archival and printed material as well as relevant research methods and techniques within established research programmes. She/he must also be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills.
