Mark Norris has been Education Manager of Newquay Zoo in Cornwall since 1996. He is a member of the Bartlett Society for zoo history, IZEA (International Zoo Educators Association) and BGEN (Botanic Gardens Education Network). He has been researching zoo history, wartime gardening and Home Front life in Britain and worldwide since 2008. This work is part of a wider project focused on how zoos and botanic gardens survived the challenges of WWI and WWII
