The second annual conference of the Newspaper and Periodical History Forum will be hosted by the School of Media at Dublin Institute of Technology. The conference will explore the ways in which newspapers and periodicals have presented and/or represented history to their readers, whether in terms of contermporary or retrospective coverage of historical events, or through attitudes to the past in general. The conference includes panels dealing with women and the media, the media and Northern Ireland, and a special panel devoted to the history of the Irish Times, which celebrates its 150th anniversary this year.
