The Battlefields Trust - - Yorkshire Battlefields - History and Heritage
Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th April 2010 Venue: The Great Western Monkbar Hotel with a short walk from The Shambles and Minster.
The historic city of York is the host for the Battlefields Trust Annual Conference 2010 and is easily accessible by road and rail. A meeting point since AD71 when the first Roman Legion formed their new outpost of the Empire then called Eboracum.
Join fellow history enthusiasts for a weekend of activities on the history of Yorkshire and walk two of the most famous battles – Towton and Marston Moor with re-enactors and tours.

There are day rates which include all refreshments and weekend rates at the Monkbar Hotel including a 3 course dinner at the 15th Century Merchant Taylor’s Hall with guest speaker Robert Hardy. There is disabled access and dietary needs can be catered for.
Inclusive weekend rates - Friday evening to Sunday afternoon - £267 per person (£535 per couple). Day Rate £45 incl of Refreshments (Saturday) Day rate (Sunday) £35 incl Refreshments.
Single £322 inclusive weekend. Non members welcome but priority given to Members of The Battlefields Trust.
