This interdisciplinary three-day conference, presented to mark the 350th Anniversary of the Royal Society explores the intellectual networks and coteries of seventeenth-century Europe. It examines the relationship between the circulation and reception of their new ideas or controversial arguments and the forms (manuscript or print, Latin or vernacular) in which they chose to circulate them.
