Guildhall Library is to be extensively refurbished for the first time since 1974. The Manuscripts reading room will be temporarily closed for refurbishment from 17 April 2009 for several months. Access to all records will be provided at London Metropolitan Archives and  details of access arrangements can be found here.

LMA will be closed for stocktaking from 4.45pm Friday 30 October 2009 and will re-open at 9.30am on Monday 16 November 2009. We regret that there will be no access to Guildhall Library Manuscripts collections during this period.
