Approx 40 offered for a single term or a full academic year to candidates of any nationality with a PhD and substantial publications, residence in Princeton during term time is required, scholars may apply for a stipend or if they have other resources for a non-stipendiary membership, some short-term visitorships without stipend also available, closing date 1 Nov
To promote intellectual enquiry, research and writing
Open to all fields of historical research, especially history of Western, Near Eastern and Asian civilisations, with particular emphasis upon Greek and Roman civilisation, the history of Europe (medieval, early modern and modern), the Islamic world, East Asian studies, art history, the history of science and philosophy, modern international relations, the School also offers the Edward T. Cone membership in music studies.
