Dr Karly Kehoe received her PhD from the University of Glasgow in 2005.  She sits on the steering committee of Women’s History Scotland and and is the managing editor of the Britain and the World journal.  Her work concentrates on the relationship between national identity, religion and gender in modern Britain, Ireland and Empire Her book, Creating a Scottish church: Catholicism, gender and ethnicity in nineteenth-century Scotland, has been published by Manchester University Press.

She is currently a lecturer  for History at Glasgow Caledonian.
