Dr Kimm Curran
Dr Kimm Curran is a graduate from the University of Idaho (USA) with a BA in History. She received her PhD from the University of Glasgow in 2005. Her thesis titled 'Religious Women and their Communities in Late Medieval Scotland' will be published by Four Courts Press (Dublin). Her various publications include themes of prosopography of religious women in Scotland, the role of prioresses in Scottish convents and elections of prioresses in Scottish convents. She is doing further research on the comparative approach of Augustinian convents in medieval Britain and book ownership; authority and identity of late medieval prioresses in Britain; and the identity of medieval English nuns. She is currently the Chair of History Lab + at the Institute of Historical Research.
