Net Economic History Services

EH.Net (Economic History Services) was
formed in 1993 as a tool to assist in the study and research of
economic history via the means of electronic communication and information
technology. The content of the site is in English and is easy to
navigate.
EH.Net provides access to an interesting
variety of different information sources including mailing lists,
abstracts of journal articles, book reviews and bibliographic information.
The journal abstracts are submitted by authors and are available
in a browsable and searchable database. There is also the facility
to register to receive abstracts via email. EH.Net has a section
on book reviews, which are presented in a database and in an alphabetical
listing. Other services offered include databases of inflation rates
and currency purchasing power for the US (from 1721) and Britain
(from 1660). There is a facility to put questions to an economic
historian and an archive of past questions and answers is maintained.
EH.Net also hosts some online data series and maintains links to
relevant web pages. Details of conferences and workshops are also
available from this site.
EH.Net is owned and supported by various
sponsoring organisations - The Cliometric Society, the History of
Economics Society, the Business History Conference, the Economic
History Association and the Economic History Society. Funding is
also received from the Sandage Charitable Trust.
