http://www.ex.ac.uk/~ajgibson/scotdata/scot_database_home.html

The Scottish economic history database has been developed by Alex Gibson, Department of Geography, Exeter University. This site holds data on crop yields, demographic data, price series, wage series and weather statistics. The site is fairly easy to navigate as it is possible to browse by data category or by geographical area. All information is presented in English.

Statistics are compiled from the following sources:
  • Candlemas fiars for Fife, 1649-1814
  • Leven and Melville Household Accounts, 1690-1702
  • Pittenweem Sea Box Book, 1658-1722 & 1735-1755
  • Exchequer Rolls of Scotland, 1461-1598
  • Estate accounts for Aberdour, Fife, 1742-1751
  • Lady Balgarvie's estate victual accounts, 1768-1785
  • Master of works wage accounts for Falkland, Fife, 1532-1640
  • St. Leonards College accounts, St Andrews, Fife, 1693-1724
