http://codi.buffalo.edu/graph_based/.bibliography/woodhill/woodhill.html
The history of disabilities and social
problems is a bibliography of printed resources which was originally
compiled in 1987-88. The bibliography has been divided into categories
which assists with the location of material (Abuse, art, literature
and photography, asylums, blind, charity, crime, deaf, dwarfism,
general insanity, learning disabilities, medicine, mental retardation,
physical, poverty, prisons, psychiatry, religion, sickness, social
science, social work, special education and speech). Material included
in the bibliography is in either English or French, and dates from
the 19th and 20th centuries. The web site includes an introduction
which explains why the bibliography was created and the sources
which were used for its compilation. Although, ideally, the bibliography
could include more material published in the last 10 years it does
provide a useful starting point for locating printed resources in
this area.
