Eighteenth-Century
Resources

Eighteenth-century Resources, compiled
by Jack Lynch of Rutgers University, is an annotated gateway to
a wide range of web pages relating to the eighteenth century. The
site is relatively straightforward to navigate as there is the option
to either search or browse the resources. Links are divided into
the following categories (which are further subdivided):
- Art, Architecture, Landscape Gardening;
- History;
- Literature (and Electronic Texts);
- Music;
- Philosophy;
- Religion & Theology;
- Science & Mathematics;
- Other Fields;
- Professional Resources and Journals
(including calls for papers);
- Home Pages of people working in the
eighteenth century.
The search facility provided on the site is
basic as it is only possible to search on a single keyword and keywords
are automatically truncated. There are, however, plans to introduce
a more sophisticated search engine in the future. Material is provided
in English and is available free of charge. This site provides a useful
starting point for locating web resources relating to the eighteenth
century.
