History
of France: Primary Documents
http://library.byu.edu/~rdh/eurodocs/france.html
This site forms part of the larger EuroDocs
site which was created at the Brigham Young University by Richard
Hacken. The History of France: primary documents site provides links
to over sixty documents relating to French history from the ninth
century to the present day. The documents have been chosen on the
grounds that they relate to key historical events. The documents
include, for example, Capitulary of Charlemagne, The Chronicles
of Froissart, Treaty of Westphalia, French Revolutionary pamphlets
and the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen. The documents
are arranged in a chronological list and some are briefly annotated.
The documents are available as transcriptions, facsimiles or translations.
The majority of the documents from this site are available in English.
