By Popular Demand: 'Votes for Women' Suffrage Pictures web site, from the Library of Congress, provides access to thirty-eight pictures relating to the women's suffrage movement in the United States between 1850 and 1920. The online collection includes cartoons commenting on the movement, as well as photographs of prominent figures in the movement, and of parades and pickets. The site includes background information to the collection and a short bibliography. This site has been created as a partner site to the 'Votes for Women': Selections from the National American Woman Suffrage Collection, 1848-1920 web site, also from the Library of Congress.
