Patrin is a web resource which covers aspects of Romani culture and history. A wide variety of material is covered by the site. There is, for example, a brief history of the Roma and a timeline from approximately 400 to the present day. Information is provided on the persecution of the Roma in the Holocaust. The site includes full-text of the book, 'The Pariah Syndrome: An account of Gypsy slavery and persecution', by Ian Hancock, Professor of Romani Studies at the University of Texas. The site has information on the culture and traditions of the Romani people. The site also addresses the current situation of the Roma; rights, organisations, Romani news etc. It is possible to browse the information on the site by country.
