The Photographic Libraries web site offers links to over 140 image libraries and collections, ranging from agency portfolios to archival resources. The links are categorised, to aide searching, and there are several categories that are of interest to those involved in studying, teaching and researching history. The most relevant sections are archive collections, moving images, maps/cartography, and library/museums, which provide links to sites that offer a diverse range of visual historical material. Many of the sites are those of museums and libraries, but private collections are also featured.
