Membership

Membership is available free of charge to staff and postgraduate students of all UK and EU universities, and to staff and postgraduate students of other universities which subscribe to the Institute's annual payment scheme.

Undergraduate students with a special need to use the library may be admitted with an email or letter of recommendation from their supervisor.

Members of the public needing to consult works not easily available elsewhere may be admitted as short-term visitors.

Those requiring extensive use of the library are invited to apply to become Friends of the IHR, on payment of a small annual fee.
