Staff Assistance

A member of staff is usually on duty in the Library Office on the first floor. When this post is not manned readers should enquire at Reception. Please do not hesitate to ask the staff for assistance.

Inter-Library loans

For readers

The Library will borrow material for readers if it is not available in London. Fees are charged for these loans.

For other libraries

We do not lend items in our collection to other libraries, but may be able to provide photocopies. To request this, please email ihr.library@sas.ac.uk.

Requests for inter-library loans of University of London theses should be made to Senate House Library. Further details can be found at http://www.shl.lon.ac.uk/resources/theseslon.shtml.

Copying

Self-service copying of holdings in all media is possible by purchasing cards from the vending machine in the basement, or by buying higher denomination cards at Reception. Copying is subject to copyright regulations- further information is displayed by the machines.

Wifi Access

Free wireless internet access is available in the IHR. Ask at library office or reception for further help.

Tours

New members who would like to have a tour are invited to make an appointment at the library office. Groups are invited to apply to the Librarian in advance.

Day Lockers

Combination lockers are available in the basement

Common Room

The Common Room on the ground floor is available to readers throughout opening hours. Light refreshments are available during the day on weekdays and self-service drinks are available at other times.
