Funded PhD Studentship in History

An opportunity has arisen for a funded PhD project within the VCH Howdenshire project. Research will focus on The Bishops and Chapter of Durham in the East Riding of Yorkshire, 1265-1600.

The doctorate will be completed within the Howdenshire project funded in the University of Hull by the Victoria County History of England, headed by Professor David Crouch and Professor John Marriott.  The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the overall archival work of the project concerning the study period.  The doctoral scholarship will run for three years from 28 January 2013.
