Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships
The School of Advanced Study (SAS) is able to support a small number of Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships. Expressions of interest from candidates wishing to hold one of these awards at SAS should be sent to the School’s Research Grants and Fellowships Officer, Peter Niven, firstname.lastname@example.org by 12 noon on Monday, 3 February 2014.
These should take the form of a Word document comprising,
- a two-page CV
- a two-page project description (including objectives, methodology and outcomes)
- a brief (one-page) statement outlining how the project fits within the research profile of SAS and one or more of its constituent Institutes, and naming a member of academic staff within SAS who has agreed to act as mentor. The School’s website is http://www.sas.ac.uk for further information
- the names of the three academic referees who have agreed to support the application.
Candidates will be informed whether or not the School will support their applications by Monday 10 February. The School will provide further assistance to those candidates it has decided to support in refining their applications. These must be submitted to the Leverhulme Trust by the deadline of 16:00 on Thursday, 6 March. Further details about the fellowships and the application process can be found at http://www.leverhulme.ac.uk/funding/ECF/app_procedure.cfm
Applicants are strongly advised to contact their referees at the earliest possible stage. No application should be made to the Leverhulme Trust for a fellowship hosted at SAS without prior authorisation from the School.
