University of Leicester, Masters Degree Bursary and Internship - History / English Local History
The School of History is pleased to offer this bursary/internship for September 2014 entry to its Master's degree programmes. The bursary is payable as a 50% discount against the relevant UK/EU course fee for either of the following full-time Master's degree programmes:
- MA History
- MA English Local History
The successful applicant will be required to undertake an internship at Boughton House. The internship can be adapted to suit the interests of the successful applicant but will include the different aspects of managing a large house, full of world class collections, which is open to the public, and of working on the very extensive estate and family archives with the archivist Crispin Powell. As part of the internship, the successful applicant will be provided with accommodation in a shared flat at nearby Lamport Hall (inclusive of utilities bills and council tax). Public transport between Lamport Hall and Boughton House is limited and the successful applicant will need to have a car.
