Postgraduate/Postdoctoral Research Assistant (part-time; 6 months)
You will participate in the research project "British Envoys to the Germany" which is preparing two final volumes (1871-1905) of an edition of nineteenth century diplomatic reports from the states of the German Confederation and the German Kaiserreich. You will be engaged in all aspects of the editorial process, including proofreading, archival research at the TNA, and contributing towards the commentaries and the annotated biographical index. You will have a postgraduate degree in History or a related subject. A research interest in 19th-century German history and proficiency in German would be advantageous.
