British Pathe Film Archive - Archive Coordinator

The British Pathe archive is considered the finest and most famous historic film and newsreel archive in the world, it contains almost 90,000 digitised film items spanning from 1896 to 1976.  The archive covers all the great news stories of the period plus a wealth of lifestyle and social history film items covering a wide variety of topics ranging from fashion to sport.

British Pathe is the primary resource for TV and film makers, museums and organisations who require archive footage for their productions and displays.  It is also viewed by many thousands of people per month via our popular website, our YouTube channel and on our recently launched Online TV channel. 

British Pathe is now looking for an Archive Coordinator to support the licensing team with research, to deal with enquiries from the public, to curate film items into collections for our website and to undertake general office duties. 

British Pathe was recently awarded the prestigious Footage Library of the Year award and is about to enter an exciting period of expansion.

This is an interesting and varied position that would suit a recent history graduate.

British Pathé’s offices are in central London.
