Ordnance Lieutenant 1545-1855

A provisional list compiled by J C Sainty, May 2002

Appointments to this office were made by the crown by letters patent under the great seal. Tenure was for life until 1670 and during pleasure thereafter. The patent salary was 100 marks. The office was abolished in 1855 (C 66/4988 no. 30).
