Olwen is responsible for the Centre for Metropolitan History’s finance, conference and general administration as well as providing support to its research projects, including the Heritage Lottery Funded ‘Layers of London’. She is also currently the course administrator for the IHR’s MRes in Historical Research.

Olwen joined the IHR in December 1985 as a research assistant on the ‘Social and Economic Study of Medieval London’ project and has been the CMH’s administrator since its creation in 1988. She holds a BA (Hons) degree in Medieval and Modern History from the University of Birmingham and a graduate diploma in administration. Olwen is also an experienced typesetter and indexer, having worked on several CMH and IHR publications.
