Focusing on what his Diary tells us about Pepys’s relationship with books, and the people, businesses and institutions of London that helped him form a library like no other. You will hear about this Londoner’s remarkable life, his adventures with print and those most closely associated with his collecting. Please be prepared for plenty of walking, and Pepys’s colourful language.
