The last two and a half decades have seen a veritable boom in Holocaust research. This development has coincided with a range of new research trends, perspectives, and approaches which are markedly different from those that guided the pioneering work of scholars in the post-war years. The lecture discusses some of these new trends in detail, but also addresses problems and challenges like the ritualization of memory and nationalist functionalization of the Holocaust.

All welcome- this seminar is free to attend, but advanced registration is required.
