A specialist in Modern Jewish and Women’s history, Ruth Nattermann teaches Modern and Contemporary History at LMU Munich. She previously taught Modern Gender History at Bielefeld and has had fellowships at the German Historical Institute in Rome and at the EUI in Florence. Her talk at the IHR is based on her recent book Jüdinnen in der frühen italienischen Frauenbewegung (1861-1945). Biographien, Diskurse und transnationale Vernetzungen.
