Kelly Summers is an Assistant Professor in the Humanities Department at MacEwan University in Canada. Her research focuses on revolutionary migration, and she has contributed to Emigrants in Revolutionised Europe, The Routledge History of Modern France, and Age of Revolutions. She is currently completing a manuscript titled The Great Return: Émigrés, Refugees, and Remigration in France, 1789-1815, which expands the chronology of her 2015 dissertation at Stanford. The seminar paper will be based upon this work.
Tyson Leuchter will act as Discussant, and is a Lecturer in Modern History at King's College London, focusing on French and global capitalism. His work has appeared in Modern Intellectual History, French History, and Age of Revolutions. He is currently working on a manuscript titled A Financial Meridian: Public Debt, the Paris Stock Exchange, and the Making of Financial Capitalism between Empires.
