Layers of London Webinar: The Charles Booth archive and Booth online

2 July 2020, 4:00PM - 4:40PM

You will be emailed the link to join the webinar about an hour before it is due to start.

Indy Bhullar, Curator, and Neil Stewart, Digital Library Manager, LSE Library

Join Indy and Neil to learn about the fascinating archive of Charles Booth, a rich first-hand record of life and work in Victorian London. The webinar will introduce the archive and its enduring significance, will highlight the stories it can tell about 19th century London, and will consider what it can tell us about modern London and contemporary social sciences. It will then introduce LSE’s Charles Booth’s London website and LSE’s recent work with the Layers of London team to crowd-source poverty data from the famous Booth maps.
