Benoit Vaillot is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History. He was recently awarded a PhD from the European University Institute in Florence. His thesis is a transnational and from below history of the border drawn between France and the German Empire 1871-1914, and his new research focusses on children as objects of national struggle in this borderland region during this period. His is currently working on a virtual exhibition on the Second World War in Luxembourg.
