Researching British History online
Researching British History online, from the IHR and Senate House Library
This training session provides an overview of two key digital resources and two libraries digital collections that will support your research into British History. The session introduces the four resources and offers case studies and ideas on how to conduct research in an online environment; from creating and managing your reading lists to discovering free online primary and secondary sources. The resources cover the medieval, early modern and modern periods, as well as new areas of research including histories of race, migration and empire.
The speakers introduce the following resources:

- Using “Mass Observation Online through Senate House Library (Argula Rublack, Senate House Library)
- British History Online (Jonathan Blaney, IHR)
- “Teaching British Histories of Race, Migration and Empire” and other IHR Library online resources and services (Michael Townsend, IHR)
